‘Umaloya village’
Source: Source: Fagudu tribe 2014 note: l > h > Ø is an advanced sound change in Umaloya. Only the h is optionally deleted in uma(h)oya but entire ha syllable can be dropped in fa(ha)hu. To contrast: ‘Sula’ is only Sua and never, *Suha. Could this be because there is a lexical item, suha blocking it? Also, kalau is only kalo and never *kaho, *kao, or *ka. Is this because it is a loan word, or because it is not a medial syllable? See also Fahahu, kalo, Sua, Saloa, Sahoa.
